BAKE SALE FOLLOW UP...

Good Afternoon -

I had an email from a town board member to follow up our weekend's bake sale and I think this person said it best...

"I don't know how you do what you do and make these bake sales lucrative every time but somehow you manage to pull it off and it is successful enough to make you want to come back.  I am impressed."  They went on to say things like "how do you get people to work every time???..."

I could go on but these were some of the highlights, and I simply responded that I have the best parents and kids in the town and they care so much they never let each other, me, or most importantly the kids down.  You, all of you, collectively, are the very best!  It's like the fishes and loaves every time; have bake sale = an abundance of goodies!

Everyone is so generous with their time and their donations, food and monetarily, well it just wouldn't be possible without all of you.  In the time I manned the table on Saturday 8:30AM - 5:30PM (with a couple wonderful volunteers throughout) we more than met and exceeded our goal of raising enough money to pay for our body mics and I feel comfortable saying we can also help families in need with tickets, or t-shirt orders etc.  YOU ARE ALL MY HEROES!

So thank you sincerely, for everything you have done to date, and will do in the coming month and a half and for raising really great kids to share this experience with.  It is a pleasure to be in the driver's seat of this always entertaining, fully-functional production!

In short, YOU ROCK!

Peace, Ms. Chapman

BAKE SALE THIS SATURDAY TOWN MEETING PLEASE HELP!

Can you bake?  Would you mind bringing in something pre - packaged and ready to sell?  Again?  Or for the first time?  It would be much appreciated.

I had thought we were starting much earlier on Saturday but as it turns out we are only expected to be up and running by 10AM.

With the number of people expected to be at this meeting (and sign in) our location is right when you walk into the glass hallway this weekend, we also will begin set up at 9:00AM.

This means there are 1 - 2 hour shifts until 3:00/3:30PM.  The booster club is working for lunch at around noon.

I need food items please, I believe the Paterson's are bringing a flat of water.  Maybe another would be helpful?  I will be there for the day.

The shifts as I have them are:

9-11, 11-1 and 1-3:00 *finish*

9-11: Me, Sara Chaney, @10 - noon Michele Miller.  Leslie you said you could be there to open (with the later time maybe this throws a wrench in your schedule let me know if can or can't either way is fine). :)

11- 1 maybe one more person?

1 - 3 a couple people to help with tear down?

I think that's it...

I have four people that have volunteered food at this point...

Thank you for your help in pulling this off!

Sincerely,

Kristen

For tomorrow, we will need some small homemade breads or more muffin type goods, we have fruit and varied baked goods still left for tomorrow, but some new things to bulk our supplies might be a good thing?  If you are interested please email at chapmank@hartfordschools.net.

If you bring in something if you could please make sure to put your name on the container so that it gets back to the correct family it would be much appreciated, as it is I have several containers without names in the back of my car.

I will bring them to the school (HMMS) and you can collect them from my classroom.
