THANK YOU EVERYONE for your generous donation of batteries!

You saved us so much!!! and it was much appreciated.  We no longer need this donation.

Please know that tickets are coming soon, if you ordered in advance we hope to have them to you before the general public arrives one hour to show time.

Please think about tickets and friends they may want to come, our auditorium is intimate and only seats 300.  I don't want you to miss out, or family members either.

Good Morning Everyone - 

URGENT _ PLAY practice is done at 5PM tonight.  The paper copy had a couple misprints on it (including weekend practices) which is also not happening.  The kids came to me and said practice goes until 6 or 6:30 and it does not.  The earlier email this week specified this too...

Also, there was much confusion about the hyena footwear, if your child is an animal in the beginning of the play then you did not waste money purchasing the thong dance sandals but if you haven't yet purchased shoes it would be appreciated greatly that the hyenas have BLACK jazz dance shoes, we will need to know who exactly has purchased their shoes.  If you can contact me directly it would be much appreciated.  So I can speak with you specifically about shoes and questions pertaining, certainly everyone will go out on stage with a complete costume one way or another.

LIONESSES - need footless (flesh tone) tights, and (flesh tone) long sleeve regular scoop neckline leotard.  

I am making another order for T-shirts today if you want another t-shirt for family members or cast members that didn't get one in the first round please contact me ASAP the money can come in next week that's fine!

Cast ticket orders are DUE TODAY if you intend to get the allowable 5 free tickets for family's that meet the criteria.  If we do not receive tickets with the form we unfortunately cannot honor that.  After this point all additional tickets should be purchased through our reservations online at www.hmmsmusical.blogspot.com under the tickets tab.

I am still looking for someone to HEAD THE CONCESSIONS and FOOD piece in the coming weeks, please email me directly.  I have a list of people willing to lend a hand, but need a leader of this important fundraising component. 

Speaking of Fundraising, thank you for the generous donations and help with completing your child's costumes with appropriate footwear etc, every amount is helpful to keep us afloat.  

We have also asked if you are so inclined for packages of new Triple AAA batteries to help work 160 battery powered lights for what should be a pretty cool effect?!  (I HOPE!) 

BLURBS are due TODAY, again money can come later, I have a list of who has sent BLURBS and who needs to pay.  Thank you, Thank you all as this helps defray costs of printing programs and posters for the show.  THANK YOU to Becky Barwood for her work securing ads for our program as well for the same reason!  It really does take a village.

TUESDAY UPDATE!

Hello Everyone - 

Thank you for your interest in staying on top of things and for your help to get to our wonderful end product.

A couple important reminders:

There was a ticket order form for the cast that was sent out last week and again yesterday I made the announcement for the kids to start spreading the news and sell those seats, it's so much fun to play to a full house, your help in spreading the word is appreciated too!

Friends and family both near and far can use our reservation order form online to ease the process.  Please tell them to go to:www.hmmsmusical.blogspot.com and click the tickets tab, and then follow the form.  A confirmation will be sent when the order is received, or shortly after.  These tickets will be held at will call for pick up and purchase.

The order forms that were sent home can be returned to me through Friday with your child's name on the envelope and the order form inside please.  Those tickets will be handed out to your child at practice next week.  

Also, the web fundraiser for bags is ongoing, don't forget to share that bit.

THANK YOU TO LISA THOMPSON for taking on the ticket sales and distribution, if you signed up to help Lisa may be in touch to get some box office hours before the show opens.

If anyone is interested in heading the food/concessions piece of the final week, can you please email me directly not a reply all, thanks!

T-shirts are being printed and should hopefully be here by the end of the week or early next week so we can start wearing those as those are helpful to spread the word about the production too!

MUSICAL BLURBS, notes of congratulations to your son/daughter in the program are five dollars and can be submitted via email.  You can add the five dollars to your ticket purchases, just please be sure to note that you are enclosing an extra five to cover that cost.  Those blurbs should be emailed to me no later than 2PM this Friday the 22nd of April.  It is a nice way to commemorate their performance and helps defray the costs of printing.

The calendar was incorrect online it has now been fixed and reflects this below, there are no weekend rehearsals:

This WEEK:

W - F 2:30 - 5PM @ HHS ALL CAST

NEXT WEEK:

M - F 2:30 - 5PM @ HHS ALL CAST

May 2nd - 6th 2:30 - 5:00PM @ HHS ALL CAST

May 6th - TECHIES until 8PM unless we can leave earlier.

May 9th 2:30 - 5:00PM @ HHS ALL CAST 

May 10th - 12:30PM (your children will leave school early head to HHS) and rehearse until 6:30PM this is our dress rehearsal.  MUST BE PRESENT to perform in the matinees on Wednesday.

May 11th - 2 shows with staggered times for drop off in the morning for hair and make up information to follow 

May 12th & 13th hair and make up staggered starts shows at 7PM!

May 14th  - Show at 2 and 7PM these hair and make up times will be ironed out closer to show, please be prepared some may be quite early.

Thank you again for your willingness to commit your children and your time to making this show run a success!  There is still much to accomplish from my end and I am sure I am forgetting something but will try and keep you all aware of upcoming expectations, for now, this is where I am at.

MUSICAL UPDATES - IT'S A LONG ONE READ THE WHOLE THING - THANKS!

Good Morning One and ALL - 

Long time no hear from, I do apologize for that!  This is a rather long winded email please bear with me to the end.

I wanted to take a moment to let you know all is going well for the show this season, and the kids are working hard.  I am proud of their efforts!  I know it will show when we get to the high school, in just two short weeks!  

This is such a pleasantly focused group the waiting their turn in the hallways has been fairly consistently quiet and they are ready to go at a moments notice on our makeshift "stage" in my classroom.

I also wanted to say thank you to everyone for making every effort to pick up your kids on time following rehearsal, I really am trying hard to stick to the exact times I have specified.  I appreciate your flexibility with the schedule to this point too.   The schedule following April break is even easier.  We are at the high school every day at school 2:30 - 5:00PM, the biggest change is your pick up location will be in FRONT OF THE HIGH SCHOOL after April break to the show.

I have some lists of signed up helpers from our parent meeting on March 16th, but if you are interested in running the ticket show, working with hair and make up come show week, handling food for the kids in the show for snacks and lunch on matinee day, teen-sitting in the afternoons so we have another set of eyes at the high school a couple days a week, soliciting for ads for the program, working and managing concessions for the shows themselves, painting the set either for covering purposes (usually done over April break) or detailed pieces, construction (also done over April break), or cutting and sewing costumes (bonus if you have your own machine) please please contact me via email ASAP.  If you signed up already look for emails in the very near future.  It's about to pick up pace!  Production I mean! ;)

I also wanted to give you a link to the shoes for our production if you haven't already purchased them.  Here is the link to the lyrical shoes that will stay on better than some of the others sold online when you type in toe thong, dance sandal etc.  That link is:

Lastly, I just want to reiterate how grateful we are and will be for any and all help afforded our production.  It takes a village and we couldn't do it without you and your children.
