It is all flying by so quickly, too quickly. There's still much to do! But in true theater magic, I believe everything will come together!
Good Morning -
First, I apologize that we have run over the last few days. I will try to have the kids out by 5:00 PM in the next five rehearsals.
Second, three weeks from the opening night as of last evening. Things will get even more hectic to ensure the kids feel ready to perform for their adoring fans. :) This brings me to some exciting news! Our ticket platform is up and running for cast and crew pre-sale through next Wednesday. The link for tickets is here: https://www.showtix4u.com/event-details/74133
The pre-sale password is on their Google Classroom. Tickets are $10.00/$7.00 for students k - 12. Children 2 and under are free. We assume they will be on a lap.
Our first psych day begins today. The kids are wearing Seussy-hair and their t-shirts (hopefully). To the Scotts and Durands, I am so sorry on behalf of Grandstand Apparel that your shirts were missing, I am running to get them at my lunch, and the kids will have them when they get home this evening.
This weekend there will be a sign-up genius coming your way for help in the coming weeks, feeding the kids, getting them break times, and end-of-show duties. I never properly thanked everyone for the work so many did for the bake sale in March! Your help in that snowstorm was so appreciated! Your baked goods and time gained us three hundred dollars and a little bit to help defray costs for production. Thank you very much!
Hopefully, at this time, you have been made aware of the shoes for the show. Bird Girls shoes have been ordered because I plan on glittering these shoes. It didn't feel right to ask you to purchase them if I am just going to glitter them. They are welcome to purchase them if they are inclined at the show's end. They are $22.00.
The Who's need yellow Converse (knockoffs) or Black Converse (knockoffs) for the Jungle Animals. A couple of cast members are Hunters, Whos, and Jungle Animals. They should do black Converse knockoffs, please. Wickershams, should please do high topped sneakers. The rest of the cast can choose high or low for their comfort. We also have shoes in our collection to try. If you want your child to be fitted with shoes rather than purchasing, please email me directly with shoe sizing. Please note that if your child needs shoes, we will need to keep them Monday or Tuesday next week (April 24th or 25th) from 5 - 5:15/20 PM to ensure they have shoes for the show.
