THE WEEK LEADING TO VACATION - UPDATES, THANKS and IMPORTANT DATES

  • First, I want to thank you all again for the assistance with the pizza lunch that went hand and hand with the recording session this weekend!
  • Thank you to APB AUDIO - Aiden and Asher Bettwieser for their work on Saturday and the follow-up they'll do mixing the audio we recorded.
  • Thank you, especially to the students for their tireless work on Saturday to get the best recordings we could with the time we were afforded, even opting to stay an extra hour or more (thank you parents for your flexibility with pick-ups).
  • The weekly schedule has been updated! The link has been shared in the Google Classroom with your kids!  You can find the updated schedule on this website under the calendar tab but you can also click the weekly schedule here: WEEKLY SCHEDULE THERE IS NO REHEARSAL TUESDAY THIS WEEK!
  • The run-throughs Wednesday - Friday are supposed to be off-book please do your best to study your lines and the lyrics to the music.
  • Keep rehearsing with the performance tracks so that you are ready to sing live (we hope, we hope, we hope!).
  • Saturday, April 9 we are scheduled to move into the stage. This requires heavy lifting of platforms etc to the stage. We will meet at HHS at 9:00 AM on Saturday and we will load everything into the auditorium. I presume it will take about an hour or two depending on the number of people for the heavy-lifting. If you are able to assist that would be a huge help! I have two extra helpers thus far.
  • Painting and detail work will work later in the week (next week, vacation I am speaking of) and when I know what I need specifically I will upload a sign up for helping with costumes, and set painting for vacation week, during vacation week.
  • Do you like to work with hair or makeup? I can't have a ton of bodies in the back especially because I don't know what the masking situation will be but...I am looking for individuals to help with hair and makeup, it would be ideal if these people could be present for our matinees on May 4th all day and all three shows rather than for one or two of the commitments. Please email me directly if you are interested.
  • Tickets will be handled online again this year, but I will need a point person for tickets at the door because we assume we will have live audiences this year. If you are interested please email me directly.
  • Are you good with digital design? Would you consider creating a poster for the advertisement and/or our program? I have digital images and there are copyright citations that need to be included please email me if you're interested to donate your talents.
  • We will need parent volunteers behind the scenes for the run of the show to make sure the kids are quiet and safe while waiting to go on stage this can be several different people or one or two same individuals but I would need a point person for this job. Again, email me directly if you are interested.
  • Lastly, we will be doing Candy Grams for the kids in the show and I need a parent or several parents to shop for and bag and tag and sell in the lobby, flowers, and candy grams as a fundraiser in support of our program and also as a fun way to celebrate the work that the kids have done.
I think this is it for now. We are officially one month from showtime! It's about to get really real! Here's to a wonderful month of creativity, hard work, music-making, and a fantastic weekend of shows!  Thank you in advance for volunteering to help, Kristen Chapman
