AUDITION CENTRAL

 AUDITIONS WILL BE ON FEBRUARY 10TH, WITH CALLBACKS ON THE 11TH, 2025. ALL AUDITIONS WILL BE IN ROOM 104 - CHAPMANS. 

The times here are slightly different from years past. 

On February 10th, from 3 - 5 PM, there will be a MANDATORY dance audition for everyone interested in being in this year's musical.

Following this portion of auditions, there will be LEAD auditions (For anyone interested in a leading role) in half-hour increments (10 people at a time); folks will sing for about 3 minutes (1 whole song) OR two half songs of the three songs they received in their packets, if they are called back they will be expected to know the songs minus the repeats and reprises for the callbacks. 

The signup sheet is at the bottom of this blog so that each family can decide which half-hour slot works best for their family. Respectfully, you should have a first, second, and third choice so your child can sign up without issue. Your student can find this same sign-up sheet outside Ms. Chapman's HMMS room. 

FEBRUARY 11TH CALLBACKS 

3:15 - 5:30PM (maybe 6 PM)

(If students need to be here, they will be invited to this evening)

*CAST LIST WILL BE POSTED ON THE 14TH OF FEBRUARY HERE ONLINE AND IN PERSON AT THE SCHOOL DAY END (2:50 pm)

1. Each student must individually decide whether to audition for a lead. Every person who signs up will be included in the cast. (stage crew sign-ups will not happen until later). 
2. Students must only sign up outside Ms. Chapman's room for ONE timeslot. 
3. Each student will learn the song choice(s) that coincide with their decision to audition and whether they intend to be considered for the Narrator (a female-facing character) or Joseph, his dad, one of the brothers, and the Pharoah (male-facing characters).
4. EVERY STUDENT will need to look over and sign the contract to participate in the Spring Musical for 2025. Please read it carefully. A hard copy is available with Ms. Chapman at the school, where the students sign up for auditions. This contract requires a parent/guardian signature as well. 
5. STAGE CREW HOPEFULS DO NOT AUDITION - Stage crew is essential to the success of the show. Please choose this job only if you can make every rehearsal for the three weeks following your April Vacation. Based on need, we will make these decisions for backstage; those who have been stagehands before will get the first opportunity to be a part of the backstage crew. 
6. The team of people dedicated to the musical and the final product will decide the cast list.

If your student has questions, they are advised to see Ms. Chapman as soon as possible to get the answers to aid them with their audition process. 

Ms. Chapman will create a Google Classroom for those students who intend to audition. The online classroom will help disseminate rehearsal tracks. The sooner your student signs up, the sooner they will be added to the Google Classroom. They can find the sign-up outside of Ms. Chapman's room.
